At Mount Pleasant Golf Club we are operating a sustainable approach to the Greenkeeping and are currently working to change the grass species on the greens to finer grasses. This involves renovation work followed by over seeding in early spring and summer to give the new finer seed a chance to grow. However, we will always strive to keep the Golf Course in the best possible condition for the time of year. We pride ourselves on having some of the best greens in the area, especially during the summer months. Our sustainable greenkeeping covers other areas of the course, not just the greens. All fertiliser inputs have been reduced and also chemical use has been reduced to the minimum. We hope these changes will enhance your enjoyment of the golf course.
I would like to ask Members to be aware of any temporary local rules posted in the Clubhouse as these usually relate to areas of the course that need protecting, especially from November through to March (winter rules).
It would also be much appreciated if Members could set the best example with regard to etiquette on and off the course.
Thank you
