Juniors who have a handicap are eligible to play in all club competitions. Male Juniors can play in the Men's competitions and Female Juniors can play in Men's and Ladies competitions.
Juniors have a handicap greater than 28 or do not yet have a handicap then play should be from the red tees at all times (including competitions). Juniors with a handicap of 28 or less should play from the yellow tees for general play and from the white tees in competitions.
The Club operates an equity, equality and equal opportunities policy with regards to Male and Female Juniors competing together in Junior competitions.
Mount Pleasant uses software that incorporates a CONGU recommended handicap system for Junior golfers whose handicaps are above 28 (or 36 in ladies) and below 55. Once handicaps reduce to 28 (36), then normal CONGU regulations apply.
Listed below are some exclusive Juniors competitions that are to be organised during the 2011/12 school holidays, please check the notice board for entry details and competition formats.

Mount Pleasant Golf Club acknowledges its duty of care to safeguard the welfare of children (defined as those under 18) involved in golf within the Club. All children have a right to protection, and have their particular need taken into account.
The Clubs policy and procedures are based upon those of the English Golf Union, English Woman’s Golf Association and PGA, as the club recognises the polices of these Governing Bodies, as set out in Guidelines for Safeguarding Children in Golf.
The Clubs full Child Protection Policy statement is on display in the clubhouse.
The club has Juniors Organisers and a Welfare Officer to assist the running and organisation of the Junior section.
